What - Collages of gratitude “seeds of life”. Planted with the spirit of my daughter Emily Elizabeth 12/11/98-08/15/24.
Where - Emily’s homestead Lacey WA, 2019-2024
Where she aspired an edible landscape.
Where her ashes are a gift.
Where Mom, next of kin, took over her homestead 09/2024
property taxes & all.
Where her and I shared her hopes for a fruitful future.
Where we giggled over the silliest things.
Where I feel her never ending love & faith.
When - Began the garden project after her cremation September 2024. Ultimate objective the Garden Party September 14, 2025. Indeed, her spirit was present boasting 40+ edibles we’d sowed. The collages are made from every seed packet opened and emptied over a year’s time.
**** Note - A blossoming thanks to GRuB who took this mourning/grieving mother into their hearts, generously provided 30 packs of seeds and a dozen trays of starters. They built a raised garden bed *length 8’, width 4’ height 2’ (it’s BIG). They added a trellis. They then filled it with soil. Top this community love off with they left me with a dozen starters. Each and every one has blossomed into an EDIBLE. That was & remains, my spiritual connection to my daughter and the heavens above. LOVE in action (amazing, remarkable, stunning and a miracle; I got a GREEN thumb, 2 of them!)
